WINDHOEK-After taking the Windhoek Showground by storm with their blend new house music last year, South African award winning trio, Mi Casa, is coming back again.

This year, Mi Casa will come through with their latest album, Su Casa  and the show features Namibian Kwaito icon, Gaza, who is just venturing into house music. The show will take place on November 1 at the Independence Arena in Windhoek.  Mi Casa is a band with unique individuals who bring their explosive talent together to create a unique and original sound.

The band members are Dr Duda, a music producer and club DJ,  J-Something is a vocalist and guitarist while Mo-T is a man behind the trumpet. Mi Casa blends their musical talent to create a soulful sound which incorporates soulful vocals, the guitar, keys and the trumpet.

The music industry is nothing new to Mi Casa as the band producer Dr.Duda has been in the industry for over 15 years, producing and dj-ing alongside the likes of DJ Fresh, DJ Mandla, DJ Mbuso and making hit tracks featuring talented vocalists such as RJ Benjamin, J-Something and Zodwa.  J-Something is a talented songwriter, vocalist and masters the guitar. This sensation began reading music at the tender age of eleven, and this is when he first started playing the guitar. He has also worked with a lot of producers in the past, including international artist. His enthusiasm for life and music breaths energy into the band.

Mo-T is the band’s trumpeter and  he oozes with talent and lives his life through music. This talented young man comes from a musically rooted family and this is where the music bug bit him, his father taught him to play the trumpet at a young age and he has never looked back since.
He has played in a band that was established by his father (Mango Groove) and  also played alongside the late and legendary Nana Koyote, Steve Kekana and the Alexander brass band. He  also featured in one of the biggest musicals the  Buddy Holly, amongst many others.

The organiser of the show and the man behind Global Entertainment, Do-Do Jerome Snyders says Mi Casa was born when the three individuals “free styled” an unrehearsed piece together blowing the crowd away and their music will bring change and people closer. “Mi Casa is one of the most exciting new live acts I’ve seen in all my time in this industry, their talent, personalities, hard work and determination are a perfect recipe for success,” says Snyders.

Gazza of Gazza Music Production (GMP) recently released his eighth solo album titled Blood, Sweat and Tears. The album is said to be one of the best album in the country, a mixture of house music and kwaito. He has been performing alongside the country. Recently he performed at University of Namibia (Unam) cultural festival and at The Dogg “Live or Die” CD launch that took place at the Khomasdal Stadium last weekend. Gazza most performed songs are Tufike Apa, No Money and Kwateni Omunona. His new music video “Tufike Apa” is currently enjoying the massive airplays in local televisions.

However, Snyders says safety of the audiences is their first priority. “Tight security inside and outside parking’s is what we are aiming for,” he says.

Tickets are N$ 150 each and they can be found at Computicket in any Shoprite or checkers. Gates open at six O’clock (18h00).
