WINDHOEK– Heather Dennis, better known as Miss H, with her impressive vocals and fine Rock and Indie rock jams, is destined to set the Warehouse Theatre’s boiler room on fire next Thursday.
Miss H is an artist from the coastal town of Swakopmund. After discovering her love for music at the age of six, she knew she wanted to be a musician. Bouncing from rock to reggae and even the blues, she tries to fuse different genres. Her sets range between her own work and popular tracks. She grew up listening to the likes of Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey. This Multi-talented songstress is not only a singer and songwriter but she also plays a violin, drums, piano and a guitar which she started playing at the age of five.
Her voice has been compared to the likes of Tracy Chapman and Macy Gray with Brenda Fassie, Hugh Masekela and Miriam Makeba being her main African influences. When Miss H left her home town, Swakopmund, she came to Windhoek to pursue her musical dream where she later united with three male band members whereby she performed under the name of ‘The Fate of Miss H’ , which includes lead guitarist Sean Arthur Mitchell, drummer Adam Brandon-Kirby and bass guitarist Ramon La Roux. The band blend eclectic mix of classic covers, original and fresh sounds.
