SWAKOPMUND – A tragic drama unfolded yesterday between 08h00 and 09h00 just outside Swakopmund when a ski-boat capsized with four men on board.

One man is still missing while three survived the accident. When New Era arrived at the scene yesterday morning, rescue workers and the Namibian Police Force were busy retrieving the capsized boat that had got stuck between the rocks.Police at the scene identified the survivors as Buks Fourie – who is said to be the owner of the boat, Peter van der Heever and Petrus Shifeni.

The identity of the missing man is still unknown, as he was also apparently not really that known to the others.
Fourie, Van den Heever and Shifeni, managed to swim to the nearby rocks for safety.
