Mobipay sets up shop in Lüderitz

Lüderitz

Lüderitz residents can now purchase electricity through Mobipay as Lüderitz Town Council recently became the first town in the southern part of Namibia to join Mobipay.

Mobipay chairman Amos Shiyuka made the announcement at the Council chambers on Tuesday during the launch of the Mobipay electricity prepayment vending system.

Mobipay will offer services, such as money transfers, as well as airtime and electricity purchases. Shiyuka observed that it was a bit of challenge to set up shop in Lüderitz, because the town does not have a shop or service station that operates 24 hours a day, where Mobipay can install their machines.

“Mobipay is everywhere, especially in the northern part of the country.
“You can now find us at Katima Mulilo and Opuwo. Eenhana is the next town to come on board,” Shiyuka said.
