SOFTENING the blow of the new rise in interest rates, the prime less 1.5% plus other finance deals were a sure attraction at the exciting two day Standard Bank Auto Show which kicked off in style at the SKW Sports Fields over the 4 and 5 July.

The new car motor dealers were out in full force enjoying the auto show which they packed into the two days, showcasing an impressive variety of the latest eye-catching models exhibited from 32 local dealerships.

Visitors and car buyers were offered a choice of 170 new vehicles galore this year, with the total value of exhibited new cars, quads, bakkies and bikes valued at N$60-million.

The Motor Show is held each year in conjunction with the Biltong Fest, and drew an estimated 17 000 visitors to the show grounds which is an annual highlight. Other attractions included motor bike stunts (freestylers), a display of “Old Wheelers”, and the adrenalin pumping 4×4 track.

Wim Lotter (Head Vehicle Asset Finance) told Woema that the show was a huge success, and that they are still busy processing the many applications.

“The attendance was definitely better than last year, and we noticed an increase in applications to purchase,” Lotter added, saying that the dealers were happy with the turnout and everything ran smoothly.
