Movie night loading at AFM Church

A Christian-themed movie night will take place at the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) Living Waters Family Church in Wanaheda tonight, aimed at creating a harmless place for young people and emboldening their faith in Christ Jesus.

AFM Ministry youth leader Nguvitjita Kamenjono said the ultimate goal is to create a safe space for young peopl,e and to draw them to have faith in Christ Jesus on a day and time that is generally used for drinking and partying.

“The movie will be a surprise. Hence, it will only be revealed before the screening,” she said, adding that a little suspense is always good.

Kamenjono highlighted that it is a recent Christian-themed movie that is children-friendly, and everyone is thus welcome to enjoy the leisure time.

It will be projected in an old-school drive-in screening format, starting at 19h00 and ending at 20h00.

Moreover, free popcorn will be offered after a little bit of Christian networking, while goodies will be available on sale.

Kamenjono shared with VIBEZ! that the idea was initially started as a fundraising event by the AFM Youth Ministry, and is now an event that welcomes youth from all corners of the city.

“The venue will be guarded, and each attendee will be accounted for through a check-in list. Tickets can also be bought at the gate on the day,” she said.

It costs N$10 for adults and N$5 for children.
