MTC Content Creator Awards set for tomorrow

The MTC Namibia Content Creator Awards return for their second edition tomorrow.

Organisers say preparations for tomorrow’s event in Windhoek are going smoothly, and they are putting the finishing touches to ensure it is even more memorable for both content creators and the audience.

The MTC Namibia Content Creator Awards 2025 brings together creators, brands and agencies to share their unique stories across fashion, lifestyle, comedy, entertainment and beyond, recognising those who shape culture and spark conversation in the digital space.

Nikanora Hoveka, known as KP Illest in the music industry, one of the organisers says they are focused on creating an experience that is that much more immersive, with plans to make the night one full of glitz, glamour and celebration.

Guests can expect to cheer for their favourite creators and see them in a way they have never seen before.

“This year’s event promises bigger prizes, a new generation of nominees and an after-party to close off the night.

The energy around the awards has grown, with more entries, more participation and more national coverage than ever before,” he said.

This is the second edition of the awards. The first edition was hosted in partnership with DStv.

Hoveka said they are very grateful to them for supporting the platform from the start.

DStv is still involved this year by sponsoring a category.

The main sponsor for this edition has helped elevate the event – from improved staging and entertainment to an expanded after-party experience.

“We are very excited to make the event a reality again. We aim to turn it into a must-attend event on the social calendar and eventually grow it into an internationally recognised platform that helps Namibian content creators put the country on the map,” he said.
