MTC expands service with three new mobile homes

Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (MTC) has grown its network of service access points by opening new Mobile homes in three towns.

For the first time, Divundu will have its own MTC Mobile Home, bringing services closer to residents who previously had to travel long distances for assistance.

Rundu and Katima Mulilo have each received their second MTC Mobile Home, a move aimed at improving customer service and reducing waiting times in these busy towns.

MTC’s chief commercial officer Octivius Kahiya said the move stems from the company’s expansion strategy to improve and bring service access points to the people in the regions.

“Strategic to business, the decision to open these new mobile homes is to allow more citizens to have easy access to the crucial MTC services. The populace of Divundu no longer needs to travel to Rundu in search of our services. They now have their first ever presence of an MTC retail shop,” she said.

Rundu and Katima Mulilo only had one MTC shop in the past. However, due to the population increase in these towns over the years, there has been a growing need for additional retail shops to sufficiently serve and cater to the high demand of the people.

The queues at the shop in Rundu and Katima Mulilo were always long.

The opening of the second shop in each of the two towns will bring relief, convenience and satisfaction to customers.

“These retail stores are service hubs equipped to provide telecommunications, digital financial services and customer support to local communities, offering MTC full range services such as account payments, device purchasing, sim replacement, airtime purchasing and more,” she said.

In July, MTC opened two new shops in Windhoek and Omuthiya.

These latest mobile homes in Rundu, Divundu and Katima Mulilo have brought the total to five shops that were opened this year.

“Opening five mobile homes in a space of four months is a sheer statement to our commitment to taking the service closer to the people. Customer service is the essence of our business operations. We are always thinking of ways to improve and make the lives of our people easier,” said Kahiya.
