Home Business MTC launches first mobile app

Windhoek

MTC Namibia yesterday launched its first mobile application, allowing smartphone, tablet and personal computer users easy access and flexibility to determine own costing for voice, data, SMS and social media bundles when prepaid subscribers subscribe to the new Aweh O – yeah products.

The MTC self-service mobile application provides prepaid and contract customers with an easy to use, convenient portal to manage their mobile needs. It allows customers to check airtime and data bundles and to purchase bundles from the convenience of mobile devices.

The app can be downloaded from the App Store on either Android or IOS devices and from MTC’s website free of charge.

“At MTC we are constantly looking at ways to improve on our innovations, staying one step ahead of our competitors and consistently adding value and choice for our customers,” MTC Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer Tim Ekandjo, said in a statement.

“In an increasingly digital world in which smartphones, tablet devices and apps are changing the way we communicate and live, the introduction of the MTC app will enable us to widen our services and allow us to provide  customers with convenient communications solutions and great user experience,” added Ekandjo.

According to Ekandjo the app was designed for quick deployment into new and existing markets as it works off any network and off a 3G or Wi-Fi access medium.

“Smartphone and tablet device users require mobility and multi-functionality and we designed our app with this user profile in mind to provide you with easy, secure and free connections to your MTC world,” said Ekandjo.
