FNB Namibia Retail has appointed Ziggy Muinjo as investment head and Carpio Minnaar as head of operations.
Muinjo is a seasoned investment professional with more than a decade of experience across Namibia’s leading financial institutions.
His career journey includes senior roles at the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF), Rand Merchant Bank (RMB Namibia) and the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA Fund), culminating in his new role at First National Bank (FNB) Namibia.
Prior to joining FNB Namibia, Muinjo served as manager of treasury and investments at the MVA Fund and the GIPF, where he managed both fixed-income and equity portfolios, supported NSX listings and evaluated infrastructure investments.
He gained experience within the FirstRand Group’s RMB division, where he was responsible for liquidity management and funding. In his new position, he will be responsible for developing and executing retail investment strategies, overseeing the design of client-centric investment products and implementing pricing structures that support sustainable deposit growth.
His work will be underpinned by his commitment to financial inclusion and long-term wealth creation for the people of Namibia. Meanwhile, Minnaar brings a wealth of expertise from the banking, information and communication technology and telecommunications sectors. His professional journey includes senior and executive roles at Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), Nedbank Namibia and MTN Business Solutions. Recognised for his results-driven approach, his ability to align operations with organisational goals and for driving operational efficiency. His deep industry knowledge and collaborative leadership style will play a key role in strengthening FNB Namibia Retail’s operational and service delivery. As head of operations, Minnaar will provide strategic and tactical direction while overseeing the coordination and management of the retail segment’s operations.
His role will focus on driving operational efficiency, maintaining data accuracy across platforms, mitigating risk, supporting product development, ensuring compliance and enhancing both customer and employee experiences.
