WINDHOEK
The ‘kidnap drama’ involving an eight-month pregnant woman is slowly proving to be a hoax, as different pieces of information seem to perfectly fit to make up a complete puzzle.
It now turns out that the woman, whose alleged kidnap story made headlines last week, allegedly stole clothes from Style shop in the city centre and managed to evade detection.
She was, however, caught when she attempted to steal more clothes at Truworths, where she was found with clothes that she could not account for stuffed in her pockets.
A reliable source told New Era yesterday that the woman was caught at Truworths where she tried to steal more clothes.
After she was caught, Truworths informed Style of the stolen items from their shop, the source says.
In an attempt to avoid being taken to the police station, the pregnant woman contacted her mother to deliver money to the value of the stolen items from Style.
“The woman to whom her mother paid the N$240 is the manager at Style,” the source revealed.
It is not clear what happened to the N$3?
