The Namibia Schools Sports Union (NSSU) will today dispatch a strong contingent of 191 athletes to represent the country at this year’s Confederation of School Sport Associations of Southern Africa (Cossasa) Ball Games, starting August 26-30 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

The NSSU held a send-off gathering at its office in Windhoek yesterday, where the athletes mingled with teammates and were given a small talk on the importance of their mission to Zimbabwe.

Countries that are currently active in the Cossasa Games are Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe, while the likes of Angola, Mozambique, Seychelles and South Africa have not participated in the games for many years now due to various reasons. Last year’s edition of the competition was held in Zambia.
