The Namibian College of Open Learning (Namcol) has officially welcomed Ngepathimo Kadhila as its new CEO.

The announcement was made during a ceremony attended by government officials, staff and key stakeholders in the capital yesterday.

Kadhila replaces Heroldt Murangi, who led Namcol through significant growth and achievement before going into retirement.

Kadhila, who holds a PhD in Higher Education Studies, takes the leadership with a clear vision of transforming Namcol into a leading institution for open, distance and e-learning students.

“My vision is to establish Namcol as one of the most respected institutions of its kind, not just in Namibia but across the continent and beyond,” he stated.

Speaking at the event, deputy education minister Faustina Caley, praised Kadhila’s appointment, saying, “Your leadership comes at a crucial time when education must be inclusive and accessible to all, we are confident that you will take Namcol to new heights.”
