Namibia Is Destination of Choice for Opel

Home Archived Namibia Is Destination of Choice for Opel

By Petronella Sibeene WINDHOEK A tour group consisting of around 40 people from Brussels are expected to visit Namibia during the first week of April. This follows a selection of 20 senior marketing and sales team personnel of GM-Opel who were rewarded for exceptional performance. The group that would bring along their spouses will be in the country for a week. Namibian Ambassador to the Benelux Countries and European Union Peter Katjavivi, who with his wife Jane were the guests of honour at a gala dinner, highly praised the automaker for choosing Namibia as a country of destination for its incentive scheme. Katjavivi at the same occasion briefed the guests on the history of Namibia as well as recent developments in the country. Among many things that the ambassador shared with the guests is that Namibia is endowed with many tourist attractions and through the years, the country has welcomed many people from all over the world. He declared that Namibia was ready to welcome them, both as visitors as well as potential investors. This is an annual event, which is organised by the company to honour those individuals who have done well in marketing and sales of its Opel product. “The group is booked to fly Air Namibia and they are all looking forward to discovering Namibia. The Namibian Embassy in Brussels is working for similar trips from groups in the Benelux Countries,” said Katjavivi.
