Namibia Launches E-Visa and Visa on Arrival for Faster Process

The introduction of the online application for e-visa and visa on arrival is not only a technological breakthrough but also a ground-breaking initiative that will revolutionise Namibia’s visa procedure, according to Etienne Maritz, Executive Director of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security. According to him, the action is a big step in the direction of developing a system that is easier, quicker, and more effective for travellers and tourists alike. Maritz emphasised that an estimated 2.4 billion tourists from around the world could be able to easily visit Namibia thanks to this new effort. He said these things at today’s inaugural event, which took place at the ministry’s Windhoek headquarters.
