The Namibia Oil & Gas Podcast, which was established in 2024 with 42 episodes, made its mark among Africa’s leading oil and gas podcasts.
It ranks second across the continent, according to Google. The podcast shares weekly news and discussions about Namibia’s growing energy sector. The first episode debuted on 3 December 2024, providing a recap of the week’s top stories from the Namibia Oil and Gas resource hub.
Stories covering emerging trends, policy updates, youth participation and opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
Google added that the podcast is listed as a “great resource for the latest local news and developments” within Namibia’s fast-evolving energy sector. This recognition places the Namibia Oil & Gas Podcast alongside major international podcasts, which is a great achievement.
Teneal Goagoses, content manager at Namibia Oil and Gas, said the podcast is more than just a news overview – it is a conversation starter.
The goal is to bring the complexities of the oil and gas as well as the renewable energy sector to the forefront in an accessible and engaging way.
