WINDHOEK
The eagerly awaited Speed Windsurfing World Tour that was pencilled to take place in Namibia and Tarifa during mid-September is on hold at least for the time being.
The organizers of the prestigious event have succumbed to circumstances beyond their control and announced a couple of changes to the initial programme.
Both the Speed Windsurfing World Tour and the Kitespeed World Tour, which were to take place in September, have been shelved and replaced with smaller grade events in Walvis Bay,a while the Speed World Cup will be held in Luderitz, in connection with the speed sailing world record attempt scheduled for the Namibian harbour town in mid-September.
The ISWC production world has been moved now to Dungarvan, Ireland; a new and exciting venue with excellent windy conditions and perfect water flow. This particular event will be held from November 29 to December 6, 2008.
More information will be published soon.
