Namibian go-karters gear up for Cape Town challenge

Namibian go-karters gear up for Cape Town challenge

Two Namibian go-karters are currently in South Africa to compete in the second leg of the Rok Nationals.

The event is scheduled for this weekend in Cape Town.

Cecil Koorts Jnr will compete in the Mini Rok category, marking her second international event.

Kristopher Koudelka will make her debut in the Kid Rok category.

Speaking to this publication from Cape Town, South Africa, coach Cecil Koorts Snr expressed confidence in the riders’ preparations and excitement for the upcoming challenge.

“We are excited. This will be our second national event – and the team is in high spirits. Everyone is looking forward to putting in a strong performance on Saturday. We are also hoping to get some practice time ahead of race day to test ourselves and fine-tune our approach,” he said.

The Rok Nationals serve as a crucial platform for young go-karters to gain international exposure and sharpen their skills against top competitors from the region.

Koorts Jnr last year partook in a competition in Italy at the Rok international championship, which gave him a lot of exposure.
