WINDHOEK – Flat screen televisions, game consoles, laptops and cameras are some of the best selling gadgets in Windhoek this far since the start of the festive season.
Some of the major electronic retailers in the capital yesterday said consumers were spending their hard earned salaries and bonuses on electronic gadgets, particularly items promoted as being on special.

According to the Manager of Musica, Maerua Mall, Heimori Brandt, some of the best sellers were the PS4 and X-Box One Consoles, the Beats range of headphones and reemerging LP players.

“LP players and LPs have become quite popular items this festive season and there is quite a bit of hype about these once popular music players,” said Brandt.
Meanwhile, floor manager at Game’s technology department, preferring anonymity, said some of the best selling items during this festive season were flat screen televisions, the X-Box and Playstation gaming consoles, accompanied by the games, of which the FIFA 15 and Call of Duty franchises had proven most popular.
He also mentioned entry level laptops and cameras as some of the most popular buys since the beginning of December.

Also weighing in on the popular gadget sales was Hi-Fi Corporation whose sales consultant mentioned entry-level laptops and X-Box One gaming console and a Nikon camera as some of the retailer’s best selling items.
