Namibia’s senior men’s and women’s national teams travelled to Zagreb, Croatia, this week for their final preparations ahead of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Indoor World Cup slated for 03-09 February.
The teams travelled to Croatia from the Netherlands, where they prepared for the Indoor Hockey World Cup.
“The teams departed for Zagreb today to begin their final preparation phase, where they will play several Test series against host nation Croatia,” Namibia Hockey Union vice president, Eslon Ngeendepi, said on Wednesday.
Each team is expected to play three matches against Croatia between 24 and 29 January.
Ngeendepi said the teams are in good spirits and in good health.
“The mood in camp is positive, with everything on track for the upcoming competition. There are no injuries or causes for concern,” Ngeendepi said.
The team will depart for Poreč, Croatia on 30 January, where the Indoor Hockey World Cup will be held. –Nampa
