Lüderitz

!Nami#nus Constituency Councillor Jan Scholtz has praised the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) for making a valuable contribution to the town’s development.

Speaking at a regional councillors’ banquet held in Lüderitz last week, Scholtz also heaped praise on church leaders.
At the function held at the constituency office, Scholtz further commended Lüderitz town councillors and political leaders.

He said that since he took up the position of constituency councillor, with the assistance of Lüderitz residents, they have moved from strength to strength in advancing the cause of the community. “From heralding the commencement of the Lüderitz Waterfront development, to small but critical achievements like the
bakery in Aus, we have all worked to ensure success and growth become a reality.”

Scholtz thanked his fellow councillors and political leaders for motivating a policy that brought development.
He further applauded the tourism business sector and NCCI for continuing to have faith in the constituency and for being a driving force in creating employment and stimulating economic growth, despite adverse challenges.

The councillor also applauded the educators and principals for their dedication in ensuring the educational development of the children and youth.

“Our church leaders are a critical component of this community’s stand, by upholding and motivating our spiritual requirements, which further aids in maintaining and strengthening our community’s moral fibre,” said Scholtz.

He said elders and veterans, who fought in the past for the country’s freedom, withstood unmentionable hardships.
At the banquet Scholtz was accompanied by his wife Bernadette Naayole Scholtz.
