The Namibian Correctional Service and the Namibian Navy both have a lot to play for next weekend, in the MTC Namibian Netball Premier League in Otjiwarongo.
The games will be taking place at the Paresis Stadium.
Head coach of NCS, the defending champions, Terry Tuaire said they are happy with the progress the players have made so far. He added that they are fine-tuning the team for next weekend. “We are preparing well and fine-tuning weaknesses. We are 60% to 70% ready, and still have this week to get the players to 100%.
The competition is heating up as teams enter Rounds 25 and 26, promising an exciting weekend of netball, with all clubs in the league set to compete.
Both NCS and the Namibian Navy are tied on 20 points after 13 matches, each having secured 12 wins, no draws and one loss. However, NCS hold the top spot thanks to a superior goal difference, having scored 304 goals, compared to Navy’s 142.
Mighty Gunners are close behind in third place with 19 points after 13 matches. Meanwhile, Tigers and Unam Ogongo are tied with 15 points each, both having played 14 matches.
At the bottom of the table, Young Stars and Tsumeb NC are struggling, each with just two points. Young Stars have played 14 matches, while Tsumeb NC have played 13 matches.
