Nedbank for Good Series heads to the coast

The Nedbank for Good Series will return to Namibia’s coastal golf courses this month, bringing together sport, community engagement, and charitable causes.

The three-stop coastal stretch wi ll open at the Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate on 16 August, followed by Rossmund Golf Course in Swakopmund on 23 August.

The final coastal round is set for 30 August at the Walvis Bay Golf Course.

The series, which began in 2020, has grown steadily in both scale and following, drawing hundreds of amateur and seasoned golfers alike.

Organisers say the coastal segment is a favourite among players, thanks to its scenic settings and strong community backing.

It also provides a platform for businesses and individuals to contribute to initiatives aimed at making a positive difference in local communities.

The tournament is structured as a nationwide circuit, with earlier rounds already held in northern Namibia earlier this year. The momentum now shifts to the coast, before moving inland for the Windhoek Golf and Country Club event on 13 September.

The season will conclude with the final round on 3 October at Omeya Golf Club.

Series organiser Dan Zwiebel said the coastal events have historically enjoyed except i ona l participation and support. “We look forward to the three back-to-back events at the coast, where the enthusiasm from local players and supporters is always outstanding,” he said. The 2025 Nedbank for Good Series is backed by Nedbank Namibia as the title sponsor, with additional support from Autohaus Windhoek, Vivo Energy, AfricaOnline, Agra, B2Gold, Gondwana Collection Namibia, JTC Namibia, King Price, Pupkewitz Megabuild, Town Lodge Windhoek, WV-Manufacturing and Future Media serving as the media partner.

Beyond the fairways, organisers say the series is about more than just golf.

It is a way to foster social connections, boost tourism in host towns, and support causes that benefit Namibian communities.
