An information sharing session last weekend between the Namibian Exile Kids Association (Neka) and the so-called struggle kids turned into a frenzied attack when unruly members of the group physically attacked Neka staff.
Neka leaders were on Saturday assaulted and briefly held hostage by unemployed young people born in exile, unhappy with the manner in which Neka is addressing their plight. Later in the week, Neka refunded N$25 in membership fees to each struggle kid registered with Neka to all but sever ties with the troublesome group.
