The 19-year-old Anna “Nelago” Shangevi is delighted to have been selected to represent Namibia Miss Teen International, a competition under the global flagship, Prince and Princess International 2016 pageant.
The competition is set to take place on July 21-25 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The young beauty who could barely contain her excitement stated that this will give more opportunity to young people to show off their talents at the international stage. “I am absolutely honored and feeling overwhelmed with all the good emotions because I feel that it is a very big blessing and all thanks to the man above,” says Nelago. She adds that she would love to help young models upgrade their talents so that they can make their dreams come true and go on to bigger titles.
Nelago only started modeling in 2007 when she was in Grade 4. She got her first title at the age of 10. “I always had that desire and passion of modeling and always had dreams that such an opportunity will be granted to me. My dream has finally come true,” she says. So far she has more than five titles and says they actually helped her to be positive and to have more courage. She advises all young people to do their best in whatever they are doing to get somewhere in life. “We all start from the bottom. There no short cuts in life, stay strong in whatever you want to achieve, respect life and all the people around you,” she advises.
Nelago is the first princess of Miss KB 2007, Miss Summer and Miss Photogenic 2010, Miss Kambelembele 2012, second princess of Caps 2014 and first princess of Bar Vision 2030.
