The CEO of New Era Publication Corporation (NEPC) on Wednesday gave former Information and Communication Technology Minister Joel Kaapanda, a huge photo frame with a collage of photos of Kaapanda at several official events including when he visited NEPC offices in Windhoek. The gift is on behalf of NEPC board of directors, management and staff. NEPC CEO Dr Audrin Mathe was accompanied by NEPC Chief Financial Officer Beatus Amadhila when he visited Kaapanda at his house. Mathe thanked Kaapanda for his support while he was the information minister. He informed the minister that plans are underway for NEPC to set up its own printing press and that the corporation was working on reducing its deficit. Kaapanda was happy with his gift and said sometimes when he goes to buy New Era he finds it sold out, an “indication that New Era was doing well”. He added that if New Era was to have its own printing press, it would be in a better position to promote Government agendas.
