New board members for Namcor

The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has announced new board of directors, effective 1 July 2024. 

This marks a new era for Namcor, characterised by strategic growth and reinforced commitment to excellence. 

“The distinguished group of professionals brings a wealth of experience and expertise across various sectors,” read a Namcor statement. 

The newly -ppointed board members are board chairperson Florentia Amuenje; deputy board chairperson Tersia Gowases, as well as board members Godfrey Ngaisiue, Oscar Capelao, Anna Libana and Trophimus Hiwilepo. 

Namcor’s acting managing director Ebson Uanguta expressed his confidence and enthusiasm regarding the new appointments. 

“The depth of skill and experience that our new board members bring to Namcor is truly remarkable. I am confident that their collective expertise will not only guide Namcor in achieving its strategic objectives, but also unlock the full potential of Namibia’s energy sector. This new leadership marks a pivotal moment for our corporation, as we strive to excel and innovate in the dynamic energy landscape.
