WINDHOEK – The Namibian National Olympic Committee (NNOC) keeps making huge strides towards improving the life of local athletes while also making information available for members of the public as well as all other interested parties.  In this regard the NNOC recently officially unveiled their new bus as well as launched their new website at a media conference in Windhoek.   The bus was donated by Daimler Group, one of the Internal Olympic Committee’s (IOC) main sponsors and as stated by the president of the NNOC, Agnes Tjongarero, the vehicle can be used by all the NNOC’s affiliated members should the need arise.

“The bus is available for all our members to use when they have to transport athletes  around or anything of that sort. We are extremely grateful for this donation and we must make sure that the bus is maintained and used for at least the next ten years,” said a delighted Tjongarero, who added that the vehicle wouldl be available once all the paper work is finalized while stressing that there would be rules to follow when making use of the bus.  Furthermore, the NNOC presented its new webpage (www.olympic.org.na) which  was developed by their marketing partners from Proactive Sports Marketing  Management. The website includes a media centre, content about the NNOC as well  a media archive.  In conjunction with the website, the NNOC also launched their Facebook, Twitter and Flickr accounts.
