WINDHOEK – The Namibia Premier League (NPL) has officially appointed veteran administrator Harald Fülle as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a one-year contract.
Fülle, a former chief administrator of the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) and former chief media and marketing officer of the renowned HopSol Youth Soccer League, brings onboard a wealth of experience having operated in the sports and media space for an extensive period.
A former goalkeeper for erstwhile NPL campaigners SKW, Fülle becomes the latest substantive CEO of the NPL, following the sacking of Mathew Haikali in 2011.
The NPL also made another critical appointment, with news that eminent radio producer and media personality Andre Gariseb will take over as the new marketing and public relations officer, also on a one-year contract. Gariseb replaces Ivan Tshabalala, who was NPL’s marketing officer until his expulsion in 2016.
The terms and job descriptions of both Fülle and Gariseb will be shared in full at today’s press conference, where the league’s hierarchy will officially unveil both appointees to the media and the public.
