NYEF announces key leadership appointments

The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished leaders to its advisory board. 

Miguel Hamutenya was appointed as the chairperson, while Gisela Sebastião was appointed as the vice chairperson. 

These appointments mark a significant milestone in NYEF’s mission to empower Namibian youth, and drive sustainable energy initiatives. 

Hamutenya brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the NYEF. 

As the CEO of the Millennium Group of Companies since June 2023, he has demonstrated exceptional strategic vision and management skills. 

His extensive career spans various sectors, including property development, oil and gas, as well as financial services. 

His educational background includes an Honours degree in Business Management from United Business School in Madrid, a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Communications from the Norwegian Business School, as well as a Post-graduate Certificate in Corporate Finance from the European School of Economics in London. 

He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Cumbria. 

Sebastião brings nearly two decades of experience in the oil and gas sector. 

She has held significant roles at globally- renowned companies such as SLB, Baker Hughes and Sonils. 

Currently serving as the deputy general manager at Kaeso Energy Services, she is dedicated to fostering sustainable growth, and driving economic freedom for African nations. 

Her commitment to local content and infrastructure development as well as empowering black women and youth is truly inspiring. 

Her academic credentials and profound commitment to economic freedom make her a valuable addition to NYEF. 
Founder of NYEF Fanuel Shinedima expressed enthusiasm for the new appointments.
