The Ogongo Unam campus will be the centre of attraction this weekend when it stages games in the MTC Netball Namibia Premier League.

Round 13 will commence tomorrow with an exciting tie between Young Stars, who are 8th on the log with six points from nine games, and fifth-positioned Otjozondjupa Nampol, who have 10 points so far from seven matches.

The second match will see Northern Fly Ballers, who are second-last on the log (11th) with four points from nine matches, take to the courts to confront defending champions Mighty Gunners, who are currently third on the log with 12 points from seven matches played.

Speaking to this publication, Gunners’ spokesperson Desiree Namases assured fans that it would be a great weekend as her side promises to bring their A-game to catch up.

“It’s going to be fireworks over the weekend. Our team is ready, and we are hoping to collect maximum points. Training went well, and we expect our players to bring their best on the courts,” she enthused.

In the third match of the day, Eleven Arrows, who are ninth on the log with four points from eight matches, will take on seventh-placed Wanderers, who have garnered 10 points thus far from eight matches.

Namibia Navy, who are second-placed with 14 points from eight matches, will then take on Tigers, who are fourth with 12 points on the log standings from seven matches.

Tenth-placed Rebels with four points from 10 matches will then take on Mighty Gunners in the fifth match of the day, ahead of the match between Otjozondjupa Nampol and Eleven Arrows.

Fatou, who are last on the log with zero points from 10 matches, will take to the court to face off against Tigers.

Sunday’s action will see Round 14 ties between Young Stars and Arrows, before Northern Fly Ballers take to the court to face Wanderers to wrap up the weekend.
