The second annual general meeting for Ondangwa Music Artists’ Organisation will be held this Sunday at 14h00 at the RÃÆ’Æ‘Æ‘ÃÆ”šÃ‚¶ssing Centre at Ondangwa, it was announced in a press statement. Ondangwa Music Artists’ Organisation was formed in July 2005. “Until now we have had a number of member meetings both with and without music. In August and December last year we arranged public concerts where our members performed. We have had regular rehearsals at the Oluno Community Hall thanks to the Ondangwa Town Council. At the end of the year we had a total of 44 paid up members, around 15 percent were women,” the statement said. A rehearsal venue is the biggest problem the organisation is presently struggling with. The agenda for this Sunday’s meeting provides for an evaluation of last year’s activities of the organization, a new board will be elected and the activity programme will be drawn up. “Only paying members will be eligible to vote but anyone can come and join in the discussions,” the statement advised.
