One Blood scores second YouTube million views

Home Lifestyle One Blood scores second YouTube million views

June Shimuoshili

It is not a secret that an outstanding music video and song deserve thousands of views, however, only a handful makes it to the rather exclusive “million views club” so far in the land of the brave. Most recently, music duo One Blood crossed the #Millie milestone with their hit song Kangaroo. With over 1,001,463 views, the music video was posted on June 21, 2019, and features One Blood stars with a crowd of people having fun, dancing.

The Tjimukandi singers recently took to their social media to celebrate and show gratitude for their win. Their first music video to hit a million views, Warakata released two years ago currently has 1.1 million views.
“We just reached a million views with the Kangaroo video. This is our second video to reach a million views. Thank you God and thanks to everyone,” they said.

As much as the million-view reach should be celebrated, One Blood will unfortunately not reap their rewards and earn money from the streams, as YouTube does not directly pay out unlicensed music in Namibia.

One Blood is due to perform at the upcoming third run of the much anticipated Fashion Soiree taking place on 6 December 2020 at Nyama Restaurant alongside Top Cheri, Nally and Taylor Jaye. Fashion Soiree will be hosted by fashion darlings Reinhard Mahalie and Rumano Fabrish.
