Selfless Hip Hop artist, Julian Anthony Martin, better known as Stitch, has embarked upon a mission to donate 50% of his previously released albums’ sales to charity under the theme of ‘Buy 1, get 1 Fed’.

“For every album, t-shirt or other merchandise you buy, you will be feeding the less-fortunate. 50% of proceeds will go to charity,” he explained.

Stitch told VIBEZ! he has had the idea four years ago but only started implementing it recently.

He revealed he walked into a shop one day, and a friend of his approached him and told him that he was tired of asking for money every time. 

“I just thought, if I could give him physical copies (of CDs) to sell, he could make some money for himself – instead of begging every day; he could keep half of the amount generated.”

Stitch said he also asked his fans and the public to help by donating old clothes, shoes or anything that he could give to a charity.

“I’m also requesting other industry players and artists to come on board so that we can help more people, since this is a non-profit organisation.”

After releasing two albums, the pandemic struck last year but he has been busy working on a couple of singles and recently released a single, featuring Tate Buti, titled ‘Wat Maak Julle’.
