OSHIKUKU – The Oshikuku Town Council on Friday tabled a N$40 million budget for the 2024/25 financial year.
Presenting the budget, Oshikuku Town mayor Julia Endjambi said it is subject to approval by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development.
She said as part of the budget, over N$14 million is earmarked for various planned projects, which include the upgrading of roads to bitumen standard, construction of services infrastructure, as well as the rehabilitation of oxidation ponds.
The council also plans to relocate its dumpsite and establish a new sports field in the 2024/25 financial year.
“We will continue to serve our community with dedication and commitment to ensure that all budgeted and ongoing projects are executed, as well as to attract investors to our town,” she said.
The mayor noted that council is committed to the development of the town to become home to everyone, including potential investors. -Nampa
