The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) is to host a regional stakeholder engagement in the Otjozondjupa region on 12 September 2024. The forum is scheduled to be held at the Paresis Hall in Otjiwarongo from 08h00 to 16h00. Otjozondjupa governor James Uerikua will officiate at the event.
This engagement aims to bridge
the gap between GIPF and its
members by discussing fund-related issues of mutual concern.
This pertains to matters such as admissions, housing, the GIPF rules, benefits and procedures, medical aid after retirement and issues related to taxes.
To strengthen this engagement,
the fund has partnered
institutions such as the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA), the Public Service Medical Aid Scheme (PSEMAS), Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa), Allan Gray First Capital Namibia, and the Bank of Namibia to conduct presentations on respective services and how they benefit GIPF members.
“The fund believes that a knowledgeable member is a powerful member and thus GIPF members in Otjozondjupa region and surrounding areas are invited to join the conversation and share in the wealth of knowledge from industry experts,” implored Edwin Tjiramba, GIPF’s general manager for marketing and stakeholder engagement.
The fund also informed members in the Oshikoto and Ohangwena regions that it will host similar forums in Tsumeb, Etosha Secondary School Hall, on 17 September 2024 and Eenhana, at the Monte Carlo Guesthouse, on 19 September 2024.
