Ouses goes international

Ouses goes international

Singer and songwriter Alta Ouses is making waves beyond borders.

She started her singing journey at a young age, releasing her first single in 2015.

Her professional career officially took off in 2018 in Namibia, where she began to shine on the local music scene.

Over the years, she has collaborated with talented artists across Africa and the Caribbean, including South African stars DJ Ajay and Shabzi Madallion, as well as the Grammy-winning Jamaican artist Kabaka Pyramid.

Her dedication and skill earned her a well-deserved nomination for Best RnB Artist at the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) in 2020.

Since then, her music has been enjoyed worldwide, helping her build an international fanbase.

In 2024, she caught the attention of the 13th Door, a United States-based label.

It is known for collaborating with artists such as YG, Gucci Mane and Jhene Aiko.

This opened up a major opportunity for her to sign an international deal, allowing her to expand her reach and explore new markets.

“I feel blessed and excited. It’s a huge step forward in my career. It shows that my hard work is truly paying off. It has always been my goal to take my music beyond borders. This feels like a dream coming to life,” she shared with excitement.

Currently, she collaborates with top industry professionals, including an international music director and sound engineer.

These experts are dedicated to helping African artists break into the global music scene.

The musician is focused on creating impactful music, working alongside prominent names, and eagerly preparing for her upcoming releases under her new label.

Additionally, she is transitioning into gospel music, ready to bring a fresh and inspiring sound to her audience.

“This means growth, new doors opening and reaching a global audience. It also gives me access to bigger platforms, better resources and industry connections that will elevate my music to the next level,” she noted.

Her deep love for music began at a young age, but she officially stepped into the industry a few years ago. Throughout her journey, she has collaborated with notable names, including Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, delivering powerful and soulful performances that resonate with audiences worldwide.

As she continues to progress, she looks forward to connecting with even more international artists who align with her vision.
