Visual artist Pedro Vorster will be presenting his latest exhibition titled “Machine Head and the Temple of Copper & Lead, a tragicomic depiction of greed and power,” next Wednesday at the FNCC, it was announced in a press release. Most of the exhibition’s visual material was obtained from the partly demolished structures of the old smelter plant and office buildings of a mine in and around Tsumeb. Out of this material, Pedro Vorster created brightly coloured and abstract computer generated pictures, allowing images of a disappearing world to live again, under a radically new form. The exhibition will run until 30 November at the FNCC.
