The elder siblings allegedly left the deceased and the one-year-old sibling alone in the house and went to play in oshana. While there, they saw the house on fire and rushed back home only to find the one-year-old standing at the entrance of the burning room,’’ the police reported in the weekend crime report.

Meanwhile, in the Oshana region, the police also recorded a suicide case over the weekend where a 22-year-old man committed suicide by allegedly hanging himself on Sunday, at about 16H00, at Oshinyadhila village near Ongwediva.

“It is alleged that Simon Iilonga hanged himself and his body was discovered hanging with an electrical cable around his neck under the tree by his little brother who was walking in the mahangu field. The brother then informed the neighbours.’’
