WINDHOEK– Piano duo Pianotainment® presented its spectacular award-winning show around the piano in two sold-out concerts in Windhoek and Swakopmund.
An enthusiastic public relived a fantastic concert experience, combined with four-handed virtuosity around the piano. Highlights of the concert included For Elise as a lounge-version, The Flight of the Bumblebee in record speed, playing the piano using small soccer balls and getting the audience to sing a German-English chorus in three voices based on the famous Pachelbel Canon in D.
The piano duo Pianotainment® is made up of two musicians, Stephan Weh and Marcel Dorn, and has been in existence since 1996. They have played gigs on all seven continents and presented their piano show in five languages. They have appeared on television in Peru, Iran and China. More than 25 000 independent entertainment insiders voted the duo into Germany’s Top Teen Entertainers circle (Conga Awards).
The Crazy Concert took place in the framework of the “German Weeks 2015”, which the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has been presenting in Windhoek and other Namibian cities until the end of July 2015, together with the “Team Germany” (i.e. partner organisations from the cultural, political, academic, economic and development cooperation sphere).
