OKAHANDJA – Max Pieper and Sonita Pienaar were the winners in the men’s and ladies sections of the second Bank Windhoek Namibian Bass Angling Association competition at the Von Bach Dam near Okahandja recently.
Pieper caught four bass and won on points, scoring the highest points of all anglers with a total of 6 758, while Pienaar was the only lady to weigh any fish, scoring 2 877 points. Although Pieper won the men’s section, it was Kai Ahrens who caught the biggest bass weighing a whopping 2.985kg. The next competition will take place on April 12, 2014 at the Von Bach Dam.
