The Namibia Bus and Taxi Association (Nabta) president Vespa Muunda was the first to put his signature to a petition in the middle of the Western Bypass yesterday in the presence of members of the Namibia Police, setting into motion an expression of grievances against unlicensed operators countrywide. Nabta claims that the drivers of cars and trucks freely pick up passengers for a fee but do not have licences to do so unlike its members who have to pay for two licences and operate against a loss due to pirate taxis. More signatures were garnered for the petition which they intend to hand to the Office of the President in due course.
