The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) said it has seized drugs worth over N$3.5 million in the month of March this year. NamPol in a media statement issued yesterday said the drugs seized were cannabis weighing 312 560 kilogrammes valued at N$3 125 600 and 3 965 Mandrax tablets valued at N$475 800.
Cocaine powder of six and a half grams and 118 units of crack cocaine valued at N.dollars 1 500 and N.dollars 11 800 respectively, were also seized. The police have arrested 160 suspects relating to the seized drugs – 151 of then are Namibians. Two Angolan nationals and two Congolese, two Swazi nationals, one Mozambican and two Zambian nationals were also arrested.– Nampa
