WINDHOEK – Thirty-two teams have signed up to take part in the 14th edition of the annual Bank Windhoek Golf Day in Aid of Welfare, which tees off on Friday at the Windhoek Golf Club.
The golf day has raised more than N$1million for welfare since its inception in 2000, with N$130 000 raised last year.
With the unpredictable change of weather experienced in recent days, the golf day could just surprise golfers for better or worse.
Golf is very unpredictable as there are several factors such as weather conditions and wind directions that can impact on the results regardless of how good the golfers one has in the team.
“The greens are in excellent condition and the prizes are exciting, but it is the unpredictability that promises fun and excitement,” said Riaan van Rooyen, Head: Corporate Communication and Social Investment at Bank Windhoek.
