With Windhoek being an urban area, the common speed limit on many roadways is 60km/h. Hence, when drivers find themselves in a 60km/h zone. This means the driver must adhere to an absolute maximum speed of 60km/h. 

The speed limit in a 60km/h zone around the city of Windhoek is a legal restriction on how fast vehicles can travel in the respective area. This limit is typically set to ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians in urban areas.

As for the amount of fines that drivers can expect for exceeding the speed limit, this can vary depending on how much that specific speed limit was being exceeded.
