The Miss Namibia Organisation, powered by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), has set the Namibian nation ablaze ahead of the Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia pageants.
The organisation has peaked national interest and has viewers glued to what it will do next as the crowning ceremonies’ due dates draw closer.
The Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia Top 10 finalists are currently collecting various prize packages from sponsors.
Recently, the groups paid a courtesy visit to the main sponsor, Debmarine Namibia, with NBC director general Stanley B Similo in tow, following their interview judging that took place on 19 and 20 June 2023.
Similo commended Debmarine Namibia for its contribution to Miss Namibia, an action that will change the lives of girls. He said there is always a start to creating better mothers, and Miss Namibia is one such platform to start with.
“Had it not been for you, I think we would have difficulties in getting our beautiful ladies to be part of what you are doing, and I want to extend my thinking by saying that for the very first time ever, we have a very, very diverse group from all over the country because, through sponsorships, we are able to travel to almost all corners of Namibia, where we raise awareness of what the pageant is all about. Part of what we want to do is grow a girl-child to give her the same base of respect and to get the girl child to believe in herself,” he noted.
Miss Namibia organisation CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi emphasised that members of the public can expect a spectacular and world-class show.
She also used the opportunity to congratulate Miss Teen Namibia, Zoe Kartsen, who represented Namibia on
the world stage and was placed in the Top 15 at the Miss Teen International pageant in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia.
General tickets are going for N$400, whilst VIP seating is N$1 000, including refreshments. Tickets can be bought online at webtickets.com.na.
