WINDHOEK - FNB Namibia held a breakfast celebration at the end August and Women’s Month under the theme ‘Grit and Perseverance.’ Elzita Beukes, Communications Manager at FNB Namibia said the purpose of the event was to celebrate female employees at FNB and to inspire them to be resilient even when times get tough. Speaking at the event, Nangula Kauluma, FNB Executive Officer: Premium Banking highlighted the determination needed to succeed and the three choices one must make – to either remove yourself from the situation, change the situation completely, and/ or accept the situation no matter the consequences that may follow. 

“You are not a victim of your circumstances, so you don’t have to wear your trials and tribulations. Keep pushing and remember that tomorrow is another day.”

Guest speaker, Hermien Elago who is an avid cross-fitter, nutritionist, speaker and an entrepreneur, shared her thoughts on overcoming emotional eating and highlighted some of the gritty women across the globe who have persevered despite the odds. She inspired women to have courage and commitment. The guests were serenaded by the Youth Orchestra of Namibia (YONA), a project funded by RMB through the FirstRand Namibia Foundation Trust.
