A product of the revered Petrus Ganeb High School (Uis), former Green Dangers Football club agile gloves-man Hendrik Alwyn Snewe, a schoolteacher by profession, was a fearless goalkeeper for the ‘Greens”, as the Kamanjab outfit is fondly known amongst her ardent supporters.                                           

A fearless brilliant shot-stopper, Snewe jealously guarded the Greens’ last line of defence with a great measure of command and pride over an extended period that had him oversee several generations at the ambitious outfit, gradually nurturing upcoming youngsters into the scheme of things. 

Additionally, despite his fairly small frame, Snewe was a devastating leather trader in the boxing discipline as well, especially during his student days at the revered Cornelius Goreseb High School (Welwitschia) in Khorixas; excelling beyond imagination in the welterweight division.    

Upon retiring from playing competitive football, Snewe turned his hand to football administration, assisting the Greens in various technical areas. Meanwhile, dozens of touching messages of condolences are piling up in remembrance of this great man of substance.
