Project Receives German Assistance
By Emma Kakololo WINDHOEK GERMAN/Namibian co-operation landed a donation of N$31 000 to an HIV/AIDS campaign led by the Catholic Health Services in the country. The funds were handed over to Nyangana Hospital situated some 100 km east of Rundu. The beneficiary hospital would utilise the money for the provision of psychological support to patients and also provide vegetables to a feeding programme. The aim is to enable members to become self-reliant. Ultimately, improved physical and psychological health is envisaged as a result of a nutritionally balanced and secured food supply, complemented by income-generation and self-employment. So far this year, the German Embassy has channelled N$602 000 from its government in support of micro-projects in Namibia.
