PstBet puts money on Chula Chula

ONGWEDIVA – PstBet last Friday sponsored Eeshoke Chula Chula Football Club with N$1.8 million for the next three years.

The Ohangwena-based Chula Chula is competing in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership for the first time and is currently unbeaten after three matches, with one victory and two draws.

They are currently using Oshakati Stadium as their home ground while waiting for Eenhana Stadium to be completed.

The three-year deal will see the club accessing N$360 000 to purchase sports gear, while N$1.4 million will be given to the club in cash.

Founder and CEO of PstBet, Steve Hamunyela, maintained that PstBet aspires to create an African brand that is recognisable by everyone of all ages and backgrounds.

“PstBet is working in the interest of Namibia as far as sports, cultural embracement, and entertainment are concerned. We are here to celebrate our newly promoted team that is changing Namibian football,” said Hamunyela.

The management of the football club, Jonas Hapulile, highlighted that the sponsorship is a financial boost of a lifetime that will enable the club to compete at the highest level while ensuring the well-being of the players and the community.

“Eeshoke Chula Chula is more than just a football club, it is a symbol of hope, unity, and community pride. It is the only team in the premier league hailing from the northern regions of the country,” said Hapulile.

He further maintained that the sponsorship is not a financial investment but an investment in the dreams and aspirations of the community.
